A little bit
About me
Hey👋I'm Sidd Kulkarni.
I grew up in the Bay Area and have always been drawn to the intersection of technology, business, and how things actually get built. I studied Management Information Systems and Economics at San José State, and I'm now pursuing my M.S. in Supply Chain Management at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.
I started my career at EY, where I worked with large technology and life sciences companies across enterprise systems, procurement, controls, and data. It gave me a strong foundation in how large organizations operate. While working, I realized I wanted to get closer to the physical product, where decisions about demand, materials, suppliers, inventory, and manufacturing directly determine whether something gets built on time.
So why supply chain? To me, supply chain offers a bird's-eye view of some of the most complex interconnected systems in the world, including the networks of people, suppliers, factories, technology, transportation, and capital that turn an idea into a physical product. I like that it forces you to think both strategically and operationally: balancing cost, speed, risk, capacity, and uncertainty while coordinating decisions across engineering, manufacturing, finance, and customers. Few functions give you that same end-to-end view of how a product moves from concept to reality.
I'm especially interested in complex hardware where engineering and operations have to work closely together. Long term, I want to work on products where the supply chain is not just a support function, but a core part of how the product succeeds.
